Our aim is to help vulnerable adults from all backgrounds live as independently and safely as possible. An adult may be vulnerable for many different reasons:
- because of their physical or mental health
- because they have a learning or physical disability
- because as they grow older, they can become frail and find everyday tasks difficult to manage.
If you are a carer, we may also be able to support you. For further information visit adult carers.
If you are worried about the safety of a vulnerable adult, you can tell us about your concerns. For further information visit the protection of vulnerable adults.
What do we provide?
- Anyone who is a resident of Lewisham can get free information and advice from us.
- We have a series of leaflets called Better prospects which hold information and details of different organisations for adults.
- To be eligible for a community care service, you will have to have an ‘assessment of need’. For further information visit our Home assessment - help at home page.
