Green wheelie bin shortage Aug - Nov 2008
We are currently going through a green wheelie bin shortage which will not be over until around the end of the year. This is owing to a nationwide and European shortage caused primarily by a fire in a bin production plant in France which depleted a large quantity of their stocks. This shortage is affecting both domestic wheelie bins and green recycling ones.
Alternatives
We will be providing clear sacks to residents who are in need of a green wheelie bin until we get more wheelie bins in stock. The sacks provided will take the same items as the green wheelie bins which will be paper, cardboard, glass bottles and jars, tins and cans and plastic bottles.
If your neighbour’s has a recycling bin it would be great if you could ask then to share with you until you receive yours.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience in this matter.
