22-150 Giffin Street
2-30A Reginald Road (6)
Residents were given the opportunity to comment on these proposals. Following this, Mayor and Cabinet gave approval for the additional housing to be built.
This proposal is to demolish 22-150 Giffin Street and 2-10a Reginald Road and rebuild new homes for existing residents.
The Council is in discussions with London and Quadrant to explore the financial commitment this proposal would entail. This is especially important in the current economic climate.
This proposal will not go ahead unless the majority of residents support it. This will take the form of an independent ballot.
Full consultation with residents will start in 2009 should the proposal be viable.
Frankham Street South (7)
The plan is for a new residential quarter.
New homes are to be built on the existing Tidemill school site, including the conversion of the existing school buildings.
The homes are to include:
- affordable rented homes with priority given to local residents
- family homes
- private market homes.
Residents of the new housing developments will not be eligible for parking permits within the Controlled Parking Zone.
