The evidence base forms part of the basic structure of the local development framework (LDF) process.
It ensures that local needs, opportunities and limitations can be identified and taken into consideration in the development plan document at the outset of the plan making process.
It is essential that the evidence base is sound and covers a range of social, economic and environmental issues as well as providing information on current and future needs.
The following form part of the evidence base.
Annual Monitoring Report
The Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) is a statutory duty placed on the Council by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, which is to be produced on a yearly basis. It includes a set of national and local indicators, a monitoring framework, and gives progress on the implementation of the LDS and a timetable for the year ahead.
The Deptford New Cross Masterplan
This document provides information on some of the strategic development sites in the Deptford and New Cross areas in the borough, which form part of the major growth corridor as defined in the Spatial (core) Strategy. The masterplan highlights proposed development sites, linkages and placemaking strategies for the area.
Five year supply of deliverable land for housing
Reflecting government guidance in Planning Policy Statement 3: Housing (PPS3) the Council has identified a five year supply of deliverable land for housing for the period 1 April 2007 to 31 March 2012.
Following advice produced by the Department for Communities and Local Government this list contains unimplemented planning permissions; and sites allocated through the Lewisham Unitary Development Plan (adopted 2005), and the emerging development plan documents of the Local Development Framework, that are expected to come forward in the five year period.
The expected five year supply will be reviewed on a yearly basis as part of the Annual Monitoring Report.
