Preferred Options Report for the Spatial (Core) Strategy

The Spatial (Core) Strategy will be the most important document the Council is preparing for inclusion in the Local Development Framework. It contains the vision and objectives for the borough. It also sets out the overall strategy for managing change and development, and all other documents in the Local Development Framework must be consistent with it. The Spatial (Core) Strategy will also focus on implementation and delivery and will establish a monitoring framework against which progress can be checked.

Following endorsement by the Full Council, we will be consulting on the 'preferred options' for the Spatial (Core) Strategy. These have been developed following previous consultation on the 'issues and options'. They identify the Council's preferred way in which Lewisham should develop and change. Consultation on the preferred options gives the community a chance to tell the Council what it thinks before we finalise the Strategy.
