The Council carried out the second stage of the consultation process for the Local Development Framework (LDF) from July to September 2007. This stage is known as the preferred options stage.

We also consulted you on the sustainability appraisals of the Spatial (Core) Strategy, the Development Policies and Site Allocations document and the Area Action Plans. The sustainability appraisals assess the extent to which the preferred options contribute to the sustainable development of the borough.
