The Development Policies and Site Allocations will set out the main policies and reasons for those policies that will be used to consider planning applications for development or change of use.
The policies will generally be criteria based and will focus on issues such as protecting residential amenity, landscape and natural resources, nature conservation, highway and transport issues, protecting the viability and vitality of town centres and addressing visual impact issues.
All site specific allocations will be set out in this document, except for those set out in Area Action Plans.
The consultation period for the Preferred Options for the Development Policies and Site Allocations document (and its associated Sustainability Appraisal) has now ended. The Council will consider comments made and will report on them in due course.
