This supplementary planning document (SPD) will provide guidance for future development as well as a starting point for any future locality based regeneration in the area.
The document covers the Southend Village part of the Bromley Road – part of Downham and Whitefoot wards and close to Bellingham ward.
It contains an analysis of the area, a report of two consultation workshops run with residents and other stakeholders, an analysis of the capacity of the local social infrastructure to provide for new residents, a series of objectives and projects for the area, and development guidance on individual sites.
The draft SPD and associated sustainability appraisal was approved for consultation by the Council on 24 June 2009. The consultation period will run from 8 July to 26 August 2009, and links to the consultation document documents can be found below. Also available as a background document is a conservation assessment of the area.
Representations can be made by letter to Phil Ashford, London Borough of Lewisham, Planning Service, Laurence House, 1 Catford Road, London SE6 4RU or by email to Phil.Ashford@lewisham.gov.uk to arrive by 26 August 2009.
