Producing the Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) is a statutory duty placed on the Council by the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
It forms part of the Local Development Framework. The Council is required to submit its AMR to the Secretary of State for the Department of Communities and Local Government by the end of December each year.
The AMR sets out information on:
- Whether the Council is meeting, or is on track to meet, the key dates published for the production of local development documents. The timetable for producing the various documents is set out in the Local Development Scheme.
- Whether or not the policies in the adopted Unitary Development Plan and in future the policies in the documents that make up the LDF are achieving what they set out to achieve.
