Special cleans
These include clearing and cleaning areas contaminated with pigeon faeces such as tank rooms, balconies, drying areas and voids.
Biohazards
This would include things like syringes, body fluids (blood etc) and any other hazardous waste.
Clinical waste
We also operate a clinical waste collection service for all residents of the borough. Clients need to be referred to us via their district nurse or medical centre. We also collect waste from Nursing homes, day centres and specialist schools.
Animal welfare
Our Animal welfare section deal with a number of animal issues, including stray dogs and cats, sick or injured wildlife, advice on welfare issues and fox advice and deterrents.
Nature conservation
The Council have 18 conservation sites directly under ecological management, each with its own unique features. The section run community volunteering opportunities and educational sessions with local schools.
Environmental enforcement
We can only accept a booking if you are the resident or owner of the property in question. If you have a pest control issue with a property other than your own you can ask our environmental enforcement team to contact the owner of the property for them to take the necessary action. Owners/occupiers have a legal responsibility to keep their property free from public health pests.
