Local doctors and the health authority (Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark Health Authority) inform us when cases of food poisoning or infectious disease occur so that causes may be found and dealt with.
Investigations are undertaken in order to prevent the spread of illness within the community and to try and establish possible causes. Advice is also given to the patient on how to prevent the spread of disease within the home.
