Conservation sites
Three sites - Beckenham Place Park (pictured), Blackheath and Deptford Creek - are of major ecological importance in London. These and 15 other sites are directly under the Council's ecological management.
Biodiversity action plans
The Lewisham Biodiversity Partnership work with Lewisham Council to protect, conserve and enhance the variety of wildlife and habitats in Lewisham.
Our action plans focus on wildlife (the house sparrow, stag beetle and black redstart) and habitats (railway lines, rivers and green roofs).
