You can find information about education and training options for young people aged 16 to 19 on this page.
More students in schools and colleges are studying in more than one place and many are choosing to learn in work as well as in the classroom.
Your options
In the autumn term of year 11, you should start deciding what you would like to do at the end of the school year.
You could:
- stay on at the sixth form in a school (either in your own school or elsewhere)
- go to a sixth-form college
- go to a further-education college.
You can find out more about colleges and courses for 16 to 19 year olds in Lewisham on the sixth-form colleges page. (Follow the link on the left side of this page).
If you’d rather be earning money while you learn, there are different ways to train. You could:
- start an apprenticeship
- find work and train on the job
- get a job and train by day release at college.
You can find out more about learning while you train on the work-based training page. (Follow the link on the left side of this page).
