Our planning framework has been designed to bridge the gap between the Council’s strategic planning documents, which operate over a three to five-year period, and operational plans, which are produced annually.
The framework identifies clear links between strategic documents agreed by the Mayor and elected members and the services provided by directorates through the directorate strategies, annual service plans, and the roles of individual staff as evaluated through the performance evaluation system (PES). The PES provides a framework for all staff to receive open and developmental feedback on their performance.
