What is the role of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee?
The Overview and Scrutiny Committee is responsible for the overview and scrutiny of all functions in accordance with Section 21 of the Local Government Act and meets at last once a year to appoint to the business panels and select committees.
What is the membership of the committee?
All members of the Council who are not on the executive are members of the overview and scrutiny committee. Every member of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee must serve on at least one of its sub-committees.
