Locality Fund
The following projects have been funded from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2008-09:
- consultation for a sports / football area for young people, between Cley House and Sector J on the Honor Oak Estate - £250 (TRA Honor Oak and Lewisham Homes)
- contribution towards two community social excursions from Honor Oak Estate - £1,583.32 (Lewisham Homes)
- Honor Oak Youth Club funding for music equipment and new cooker to run cookery and healthy eating courses - £1,583.32
- young people’s carpentry workshop at the Honor Oak adventure playground - £1,583.32
- community coffee morning - £1,583.32 (Building Healthier Communities)
- Somerville and Friends Estate (saFE) Tenants and Residents Association Dream = Seen projects - £1,583.32
- Hillaballoo event at Telegraph Hill parks - £1,000 (Telegraph Hill Society)
- new furniture for Honor Oak Community Centre - £1,583.32
- erection of plaque for the poet Robert Browning, in Telegraph Hill - £250.
The following projects have been funded from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2009-10:
- Sector J older people's Christmas dinner - £300
- Honor Oak summer carnival (Honor Oak Residents and Tenants Association)- £3,818
- Somerville Adventure Playground half term activities - £2,226
- Telegraph Hill skate park consultation (Skatepark Action Group) - £1,000
- Barnes Wallis community event and trip (Somerville and Friends Estate Tenants and Residents Association) - £1,480
- Honor Oak Community Centre tables - £1,176.
Mayor’s Fund
Mayor and Cabinet have agreed the following projects recommended by the assembly for funding from the £50,000 Mayor's Fund:
- Millwall Community - youth football coaching sessions - £2,916
- Frendsbury Gardens outreach project - £11,750
- Telegraph Hill Centre Café - internet café - £10,000
- Elevating Success - 'On the Road' driving project for young people - £5,175
- Ministry of Youth - multimedia and creative writing project for 12 young people aged 11-24 - £6,359
- We Care Café - internet café and drop in - £3,800
- Enviroworks - Honor Oak garden and allotments development - £10,000.
