Locality Fund
The following projects have been funded from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2008-09:
- Sydenham Arts Festival: £5,000
- development of Sydenham and Forest Hill Youth Forum - £1,000
- Sydenham radio project to work with young people - £2,000
- replacement and new litter bins: £1,000
- 'Greening Sydenham': £1,000.
The following projects have been funded from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2009-10:
- Sydenham Timebank promotion - £3,000
- leaflet on the Sydenham Assembly - £1,300
- Hazel Grove youth activities - £1,000
- Sydenham communications / signs - £1,700
- Sydenham community facilities database - £1,500
- Sherlock Holmes at the Dolphin - £500
- leaflet on the conservation area - £1,000.
Mayor’s Fund
Mayor and Cabinet have agreed the following projects recommended by the assembly for funding from the £50,000 Mayor's Fund:
- Sydenham Arts Festival 2009 - £10,000
- Forest Hill and Sydenham Youth Forum - £3,000
- Switch It football and life skills activities project - £3,000
- Young People's Forum residential weekend - £3,700
- Sydenham Community Radio move from on-line to on-air broadcasting - £3,000
- small grants programme to support activities in school holidays - £2,000
- Greening Sydenham new planting and maintaining green spaces - £2,000
- 15th Sydenham Scouts Group - contribution to scouting activities - £1,700
- Sydenham Music - outreach work to residential care homes - £1,600
- Sydenham Mosaic bronze bas relief artwork and signs with community input - £10,000
- Sydenham - Silverdale Hall play area - £10,000.
