Priorities for Sydenham
These top five priorities for Sydenham have been agreed by the Assembly:
- improving community safety and tackling anti- social behaviour
- more activities for children and young people
- transport improvements
- business and enterprise / vibrant high street
- environmental improvements.
The Assembly will develop an action plan to address these priorities.
At the 4 September 2008 meeting, the Sydenham Assembly agreed on these projects for funding from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2008-09:
- Sydenham Arts Festival: £5,000
- development of Sydenham and Forest Hill Youth Forum - £1,000
- Sydenham radio project to work with young people - £2,000
- replacement and new litter bins: £1,000
- wallpaper for vacant shops: £1,000.
