Meeting Overview
The second Lewisham Central Assembly meeting was held on Tuesday 14 October at Lewisham Methodist Church.
There were 40 people present which was less than the first assembly.
The Co-ordinating Group and the Co-ordinator will continue to work to increase awareness of the assembly with the ultimate aim of ensuring that the meeting is inclusive and representative of all sections of the community.
What we agreed
The attendees were asked to vote on their top five priorities. Votes were counted and fed back later in the meeting.
The top five priorities were:
- anti-social behaviour and crime
- traffic
- lack of amenities
- lack of facilities for young people
- environmental matters.
What happens next
The Co-ordinating Group will meet before the next assembly on 3 March 2009 and will work on these areas:
- developing the ward priorities into an action plan
Planning the next assembly
- working to ensure that the assembly is both inclusive and accessible to all.
