Locality Fund
The following projects have been funded from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2008-09:
- Lee Oasis recycling project - £2,500
- Lee Fair Share laptop and equipment for community allotment - £500
- Tall Lighthouse poetry, music and comedy events at Open Studios - £550
- development of Triangle Nature Reserve - £1,000
- Dr Bike event - £300 (Lewisham Cyclists)
- Manor House Library LCD display - £1,500
- FUSS planters and Christmas community fair in Staplehurst Road - £1,000
- bench seats in Woodyates Road and Cambridge Drive - £1,300
- scout minibus in memory of Jimmy Mizen - £350 (Justice and Peace Group)
- Leegate Centre improvements - £1,000.
The following projects have been funded from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2009-10:
- Manor House Heritage Information Board (Users and Friends of Manor House Library) - £890
- Primary Transition Project in Manor Park. Temporary toilet, barriers, river dipping equipment and a bird hide - £2,385
- reprint of History and Wildlife in the Manor House Gardens leaflet - £1,235
- seating provision in Staplehurst Road - £390
- community work in Burnt Ash Hill (Lee City Safe) - £1,300
- Lee Green Local Assembly Youth Forum facilitated workshop - £1,400
- refreshing the planting in Staplehurst Road (FUSS) - £1,000
- Lee Fair Share day trips for mobility impaired community members - £400
- peace corner and two raised vegetable beds (St Winifred’s Junior School) - £1,000.
Mayor’s Fund
Mayor and Cabinet have agreed the following projects recommended by the assembly for funding from the £50,000 Mayor's Fund:
- Friends of Leegate - development of local vision for Leegate - £7,500
- Lee Green young people's project – £20,000
- Manor Park building refurbishment - £22,500.
