Locality Fund
The following projects have been funded from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2008-09:
- weekly football coaching sessions for young people in Slagrove Place and a Saturday school at the Ladywell Centre - £2,000 (London and Quadrant)
- year-round street planting scheme for Ladywell Village - £1,450 (Ladywell Village Improvement Group)
- Christmas tree in Ladywell Village - £550
- Brockley Fun Run - £1,500 (Brockley Cross Action Group)
- closing day at Brockley Max Arts Festival in Hilly Fields - £500 (Brockley Cross Action Group)
- activities for older residents in the ward - £2,000
- street planter maintenance - £450
- streetscape improvements in the ward, such as street trees and furniture - £1,550.
The following projects have been funded from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2009-10:
- upgrading the alarm at the Ladywell Centre to allow community use of the sports hall - £1,000
- notice board cabinet for Brockley Cemetery - £1,000
- street trees for Brockley Road - £1,900
- bowling equipment for Hilly Fields bowling green - £500
- plaque to commemorate the original Lady Well (Ladywell Society) - £500
- Brockley Max Festival (Community 2010) - £1,300
- youth provision 'Vessel Works' production studio - £1,900
- Ladywell walking tour leaflet (Ladywell Fields User Group) - £1,200
- contribution to Saturday School for deprived children (London & Quadrant) - £700.
Mayor’s Fund
Mayor and Cabinet have agreed the following projects recommended by the assembly for funding from the £50,000 Mayor's Fund:
- Ladywell Village Improvement Group streetscape design study - £10,000
- Lewisham Community Sport youth sport and personal development activities - £7,400
- Hilly Fields Community Bowling Green - £7,019
- Youth Village - multi-ward youth provision (Ladywell, Lewisham Central and Rushey Green) - £10,000
- 'Get the Message' murals - £4,965
- Ahoy Centre - 'Making Waves in Ladywell' sailing activities - £3,394
- Alert Boxes managed by Safer Neighbourhood Team - £7,222.
