Ladywell Assembly - 8 October 2008 meeting

Meeting overview

The second Ladywell Assembly meeting was held on Wednesday 8 October 2008 at Prendergast School.

There were 45 people present which represented a 22 per cent increase from the first assembly. However, there is still work to be done to ensure that more people attend the meeting.

The Co-ordinating Group and the Co-ordinator will continue to work to increase awareness of the Assembly.

What we agreed

The attendees were asked to vote on their top five priorities. Votes were counted and fed back later in the meeting.

The top five priorities were:

  • local shops
  • streetscape and environment
  • the Playtower
  • lack of youth and community facilities
  • anti-social behaviour and crime.

What happens next

The Co-ordinating Group will meet before the next assembly on 20 January 2009 and will work on these areas:

  • developing the ward priorities into an action plan
  • planning the next Assembly meeting
  • working to ensure that the Assembly is both inclusive and accessible to all.
