Locality Fund
The following projects have been funded from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2008-09:
- Xpress Yourself @ Lewington Centre (series of intergenerational workshops) - £1,252
- Riverside Youth Club 40th anniversary event - £1,400
- 'Inspiring Your Imagination' film production course - £1,360
- Riverside Youth Club welcome sign - £1,000 (Brighter Future Project)
- Teachsport multi-sport activities for young people - £1,300
- weekly art therapy group (Co-opepys) - £1,162
- Emmanuel Childcare after school activities - £1,500
- 2000 Community Action Centre computer upgrade - £1,400
- culinary and cultural workshops - £1,126 (Soul Food 4 All Hi 5ive! Project).
The following projects have been funded from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2009-10:
- maintenance and repair of the 2nd Deptford scout group hut - £4,500
- boys' XLP bus at the Lewington Centre - £5,500.
Mayor's Fund
Mayor and Cabinet have agreed the following projects recommended by the assembly for funding from the £50,000 Mayor's Fund:
- Second Wave - outreach work - £5,204
- Ahoy Centre - 'Making Waves in Ladywell' sailing course - £10,254
- Riverside Youth Club - steel pan band Saturday classes - £7,116
- Somali Education Development Centre (SEDEC) - refugees at risk sports activities - £5,050
- Lewington Centre - Saturday Life Skills - £7,000
- Deptford Family Project - £5,000.
