Priorities for Downham

These top three priorities for Downham have been agreed by the Assembly:

  • anti-social behaviour
  • youth provision
  • environment.

The Assembly will develop an action plan to address these priorities.


Locality Fund

The Assembly has agreed on these projects for funding from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2008-09:

  • Downham Christmas Festival - £750
  • Downham 50 plus social club - £975
  • Creative media project - £2,000 (Artefact Edutainment)
  • fireworks display on 5 November 2008 - £800 (Downham Way Family Church)
  • youth forum - £739 (Wesley Halls Youth Club)
  • Youth Diversity Challenge educational support project - £1,930
  • street party training - £300
  • football club kit for eight local football teams - £2,000 (Purpose for Living Project)
  • Merlin Primary School sensory garden to promote cycling and walking to school - £506.
