Priorities for Brockley
These top five priorities for Brockley were agreed at the 24 September 2008 meeting:
- preservation of green spaces
- creating community cohesion
- cleaning up dirty streets
- reducing crime and anti-social behaviour
- planning.
The Assembly will develop an action plan to address these priorities.
Locality Fund
The Assembly has agreed on these projects for funding from the £10,000 Locality Fund for 2008-09:
- contribution to Brockley Fun Run - £1,500 (Brockley Cross Action Group)
- contribution to Brockley Christmas Market, Saturday 13 December - £200 (Brockley Cross Action Group)
- contribution to Friendly St Gardens upgrade - children’s climbing tree or wall - £2,000
- street trees in Brockley ward - £3,300
- contribution to Brockley Max Arts Festival - £500
- feasibility study for community orchard in Brockley - £500
- Wickham Road/Gardens/Schools Art Festival - £1,500
- cultural exchange events - £1,500
- community empowerment workshop - £500.
