We hold citizenship ceremonies at Lewisham Town Hall and Register Office. From 5 December 2006 we will also provide a Nationality Checking Service to make applying for British Citizenship as simple as possible.
Citizenship ceremonies are held at Lewisham Town Hall and Register Officer, conducted by our registration officers. Although group ceremonies normally take place, individual ceremonies are offered for an additional fee.
The aim of the Nationality Checking Service is to help reduce unnecessary delays in the process of applying for British Citizenship. This is not a fast track service but applications that are accurate and complete tend to be handled more quickly.
