Copy birth certificates

You can use the application forms on this page to apply for copy birth certificates.

The same form can also be sent to other districts if the event occurred in another district.

The standard birth certificate also shows place of birth, parents' names and occupations of parents and is required for a passport application.

A shorter birth certificate is available, which shows the person's name, sex, date of birth and registration district of birth.
