TrustMark is a government endorsed trader scheme designed to help ensure that traders are reputable and carry out good quality work.
Traders who become members of the scheme will undertake to operate their business in a legal, honest and fair way.
In return, consumers are expected to deal fairly with you, agree a fair price for good work and to pay quickly when the job is finished. Joining the scheme means that you can benefit from the good national publicity of the TrustMark scheme and can display the Trustmark logo on your business premises, vehicles and paperwork.
We will be running this scheme in the London Borough of Lewisham with the assistance of Exor Management Services. We are committed to raising standards and will build a register of local traders that we can promote to all Lewisham consumers.
How to become a Lewisham TrustMark member
To become a Lewisham TrustMark member, you will need to:
- make sure you meet the requirements of our Code of Practice which sets out how you deal fairly with consumers and they with you
- complete an application form.
We will then carry out a checking process, which will include looking at your trading history, checking your insurances and previous work carried out.
